At Youth Community Agency (YCA), we believe that motherhood should never mean going it alone. Our Mommie Mentor Program is a transformative initiative designed to surround young mothers with the guidance, wisdom, and sisterhood they need to thrive.

What Is the Mommie Mentor Program?

The YCA Mommie Mentor Program connects experienced mothers, community leaders, and compassionate women with young moms in our programs—particularly those enrolled in Queens Success Academy, housing services, or our career readiness track.

Through consistent, intentional mentorship, our mentees receive:

  • Emotional Support during life transitions, healing, or navigating single motherhood

  • Life Skills Guidance on parenting, wellness, finances, and daily routines

  • Goal Setting & Accountability to help moms dream big and follow through

  • Networking & Exposure to opportunities they may have never imagined possible

Why It Matters:

Many of the young women we serve are balancing motherhood with school, work, and healing from past trauma. A trusted, non-judgmental mentor can be the difference between giving up and rising forward.

Mommie Mentors become the steady hands behind our success stories—helping young moms feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
