7 Days of Christmas: Shirley Denise Housing Project Campaign!
First Annual MomsGiving: Nurturing Motherhood Together!
MomsGiving is Detroit’s very first all-day celebration dedicated to honoring and supporting teen moms and mothers who need a little extra love. Though Mother’s Day may be behind us, we’re celebrating motherhood all month long—and you’re invited!
This completely free event offers a safe, uplifting space where you can:
Shop for Essentials – Use your “MomsMoney” (fake bills) to pick up gently used clothing, shoes, hygiene kits, diapers, wipes, and more.
Relax & Rejuvenate – Enjoy complimentary chair massages and a delicious, catered lunch.
Learn & Grow – Visit our GED preparation and career-development tables staffed by top local vendors and educators.
Nourish Your Soul – Receive spiritual encouragement at our prayer station, plus on-site mental health and health-care consultations.
Be Inspired – Hear heartfelt, empowering words from our two “mommie mentors” during intermissions.
Take-Home Goodies – Before you go, collect a food basket and other essential care packages to support you at home.

Successful Launch of Tier 3: A New Path to Homeownership
We are proud to announce a major milestone in the Shirley Denise Affordable Housing Project with the successful launch of Tier 3: Homeownership through Land Contract. Today, we celebrate the first family to achieve their dream of homeownership, overcoming traditional barriers through our innovative land contract program.
This is more than just a home – it’s a new beginning. By providing flexible terms and overcoming common obstacles to homeownership, we’re helping families in Metro Detroit secure stable, long-term housing and build equity for a brighter future.
